After three podiatrists and a failed surgery left me with no answers for my feet pain, Dr. Baravarian figured out the real cause of the pain in the first visit.I was ready for another surgery to fix the first one, but he held off until the root issue was treated. Dr. Bob has now treated me 3 times with cryosurgeries for my Morton's Neuroma. Short of the surgery where they snip your nerves (I won't severe my nerves), this is the only treatment that works. With the first 2 treatments, I'd say I was 60% better, and with today's treatment, jack that number up to 85%... right now, anyway. It may even be 100% better; the next few weeks will be tell-tale, and I'll know if I'm going to need another at that point. To my knowledge, Dr. Bob is one of 3 doctors in the U.S. who does the cryosurgery with stem cell treatment, and to boot, he's just a great guy. If I lived anywhere in the world, I'd fly in for these treatments with Dr. Bob, Adrian and the rest of this staff, they're all great, and this treatment really does work. Trust me, I no longer want to rip my foot off my leg!

Not sure why but i had to wait almost an hour to be seen. I was on time. There were a dozen people in the waiting room, even some lined out the door. This was the first time this happened. Dr. Baravarian was not only very diligent about my procedure (cryo-ablation), and when he received email from me that it did not work, he engaged in multiple emails on a Sunday to discuss alternative next steps and converged into what he thought was the best step -- neuroma excision surgery. He offered to perform it whenever I was ready. My overall confidence in his capability is very good, matched what I've seen on the Dr. Bob website. I'll most likely take this next step although I'm a bit far away, in Santa Barbara. The staff at Dr. Bob is similarly excellent, which is very important because they represent the patient's interface to Dr. Bob. Please continue to do all this great work!

I believe that there should be a nurse practitioner in the practice. I can tell that there there are only medical doctors and that's okay but a nurse practitioner's validated competencies include practical management of conditions.
Only concern is about finances. I met my annual deductible via insurance, but there were still additional charges. I believe I was supposed to get refunded the charges, but not sure if it was. Other than that, great place from medical and treatment perspective.

Great X-ray facility. Assistants are knowledgeable. They need to improve their billing system. Not happy with texted receipt for payment of needed equipment. Not printable. I was then billed for same equipment even though I had already paid for it.

The team is very knowledgeable and attentive. As a person with ADHD my recommendation would be for the doctors to clearly list out treatment plan options for patients. In my case, I know it was conservative steps including steroid injection, custom orthotics, physical therapy... followed by either cryoablation or neurectomy. It's helpful to have a clear visual action plan including recommended direction versus alternative direction/s to weigh and decide upon. Bottom line, helping patient to understand the injury/issue, the standard conservative/progressive steps, etc. working towards resolving the issue.
I was prescribed an expensive, not insured cream that did not help me.
The doctor was great. However, I had a question about the doctor's instructions after I got home. Calling the office was a disaster. I was transferred to call center after call center. The office never answered. Even though I was just there and the office was there. The did not answer. The call center took a message. I got a call 4 days later. I probably would not go back again just because I think it's important for the office to answer there phones and not sub out to a call center.

I had been referred to two previous foot and ankle specialists. Neither of them even touched my foot. Dr. Baravarian and his staff took their time, reviewed previous surgery reports, manipulated and tested my foot, and took new XRays for their review. I couldn't have been happier with the visit and I look forward to achieving some positive results working with them.

I’m not big on writing reviews but Dr. Baravarian and his entire staff have impressed me so much over the course of two years that I had to. Dr. B is not only extremely competent and efficient, but also very personable. I was diagnosed with Morten’s Neuroma and after several visits we decided surgery was the only option. I was in pain for years before I saw Dr. Baravarian. The surgery went flawless, and I have experienced no more pain, a state that I am very grateful for. I have never waited for more than 5 minutes in his foyer, and literally everyone on staff has been nothing but pleasant. Probably the best experience in healthcare I have had. 100% recommend.

I made a nearly 2-hour trek from San Diego to Santa Monica to consult Dr Baravarian about performing a cryo ablation on my 2-year old Morton's Neuroma, because I read great things about such procedures, I didn't want to do a more invasive and painful procedure without trying everything else possible, and I couldn't find anyone in my area who does cryoablations, or even radio frequency ablations. Dr Baravarian agreed I should try cryo, and he did the procedure during the same visit so I wouldn't have to drive back up there. Five weeks later, he ordered me a second MRI, because I still had some of that "pebble in my shoe" pain. Th MRI showed no evidence of the neuroma, so I went back to the office for a follow-up visit. Turns out I have some additional issues, and he prescribed four very specific measures to fix them, which I'm trying now. I was very impressed with the doctor, his staff, and the facility and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice. Dr B was very kind and gentle, and he also gave me his card and said to email him any time. I've emailed him a couple of times and he got back to me really quickly both times. Never had a doctor do that before!!! Impressive.

Dr Baravarian is excellent and I highly recommend him. I am 7 weeks post surgery (bunion and fusion of my big toe) and in a regular sneaker already - just as he promised. I postponed this surgery for 5 years fearing the recovery and outcome and now am so happy that I finally got it done. His staff is also wonderful. Overall a great experience.

I suffered a full Achilles' tendon rupture playing flag football in June and was absolutely devastated. I live an incredibly active lifestyle and have been very afraid of the long term impact to my physical capabilities. I met with two separate orthopedic surgeons the week after my injury and eventually chose to go with Dr. Bob to repair my tendon as he was well regarded by a DPM friend and has been published several times. Dr. Bob did a great job on my surgery. I am still recovering but the scarring is minimal and I have had no issues so far. I am at the point now where my progress is all on me and my effort with PT, and I have to thank Dr. Baravarian for getting me this far.

If you have heard the horror stories about how painful bunion surgery is you are not talking to any of Dr. Bob's patients. My surgery was painless and I have recommended nine people over the years who have had the same experience. And although Dr. Bob won't make any guaranties about scaring, I have no trace of the surgery on either foot. Recently I sent one of my very good friends to Dr. Bob for bunion surgery, but she needed much more. I was sad for her because I had bragged about how quickly you regain mobility. She was happy because she thought her pain was coming from more than just her bunion. That being said, she experienced the same level of pain.....none. Her second surgery is scheduled (the other foot). She was actually discussing what shoes she would be wearing for New Year's Eve in 2022. Don't put surgery off, bunions don't get any better with time and once the surgery is done, it's done, they don't come back.
